Little Aurora has no accounts and no tracking. Your trip stays on your devices.
Little Aurora is made by Little Studio, the studio of Muaaz Saeed, who publishes it on the App Store (“we”). Last updated 12 October 2026.
In short
The only things that leave your devices with anything about you are what go alerts need, if you turn them on, and what you write to us, if you do. The app also sends anonymous daily counts of a few moments, such as opening the trip pass, which you can turn off.
What stays on your devices
- Your trip: destination, dates and chosen viewing spot. It syncs between your own devices through your iCloud account. We can’t see it.
- Your settings and packing list, on your phone.
- Evening reminders, if you turn them on. They’re scheduled on your phone, and nothing is sent anywhere.
- The last forecast, saved so the app works without signal.
- On Apple Watch, the plan your iPhone sends it.
What the app fetches
The app reads the forecast, the destinations and the seasonal outlook from our server. These requests are the same for everyone and carry nothing that identifies you. As with any request over the internet, our hosting provider’s systems see your IP address. We don’t store it with anything else, and we don’t use it.
If you turn on go alerts
To send you a notification when a viewing window opens, our server keeps:
- your device’s push token, Apple’s address for notifications to this app on this device;
- your destination, and the nights your trip pass covers;
- your trip pass’s App Store transaction identifiers, after checking Apple’s signature that the pass is genuine and for this trip.
That’s all: no name, email, Apple ID, location or contact details. Turn go alerts off and the push token, destination and nights are deleted at once. Otherwise they’re deleted two days after the last night your pass covers. The record of which alerts were sent is deleted after 30 days. The pass’s transaction identifiers are kept for a year after purchase, so a refund Apple reports can still stop alerts, and are then deleted.
Usage counts
To see whether the app is working for people, it counts six moments: finishing set-up, opening the trip pass offer, buying a pass, turning on go alerts, opening a go alert and choosing a spot. Each adds one to a daily total for the app version and your trip’s destination, sent to our server now and then. Nothing identifies you or your phone, so a total can’t be traced to anyone or joined to another, and none of it is used for advertising. The totals are kept to compare over time. To stop, turn off Settings → Share app usage; anything not yet sent is deleted.
If you write to us
The contact form sends us your reply address, your subject and message, and the app version, the iOS version and your trip’s destination, so we can help. We use them only to answer you. We keep them for a year after they arrive, then delete them. If you email us directly, your message stays in our inbox.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. A trip pass is tied to one trip by a random identifier the app makes for that trip, not to you.
Who else is involved
- Apple: App Store purchases, push notifications, iCloud and Apple Watch, under Apple’s own privacy policy.
- Supabase: hosts our database and server functions, in Frankfurt.
- Resend: delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
- Weather and space-weather sources: NOAA, Open-Meteo and NOAA’s Aviation Weather Center. Our server fetches from them on its own schedule; they never receive anything about you.
Location
Little Aurora doesn’t ask for your location. You choose your destination, and travel times come from each spot’s own details.
Children
Little Aurora isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect anything from them.
