Understanding forecasts

The plan combines the chance of aurora with cloud cover and darkness. Clear skies matter, but even a promising forecast can’t guarantee a sighting.

Check how old the forecast is before you head out. Tonight shows when it was updated, and how sure it is.

About the trip pass

The trip pass is a one-time purchase for one trip, up to 14 nights. It adds the next three nights, go alerts, the Live Activity, the Apple Watch, every spot compared and the space-weather detail. It doesn’t renew.

Bought one on another device? Restore it in Settings with the same Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

When you are offline

Your trip, spots and the guide stay available. Tonight shows the last forecast we downloaded, with its age.

An old forecast is a starting point, so check the sky and local conditions before travelling.
